Where can I find information on vintage or antique uniforms?

I recently aquired an antique marching band uniform jacket from a yard sale, in relatively good condition. I’d like to get more information on it, such as the approximate year it was made and history of the D. Klein & Bro. Uniform Co., but searches are coming up empty. Where can I find information, such as a forum, webring, article, etc. on such a find?

Advice/Suggestions on selling collectibles (read below)?

I have a collection of items from the movie Grease, including:

-lunchbox w/ thermos
- jackets
- tshirts
- dolls
- mug
- salt & pepper shakers
- shooters
- belt buckle
- lighter
- cigarette case
- sunglasses
- purse

And a few other things I can’t remember. Where would be the best place to sell it (eBay, craigslist, pawn shop, etc)? And how should I determine how much it’s worth as a lot, not selling each separately?

help with xmas gift ideas?

I’m trying to think of some real special gifts for some rlly important ppl in my life this Christmas. Help would be nice.

My husband is 21, a Marine, downright country and the farthest from metrosexual as he can be.. He’s deploying to Japan in March so I was hoping to get him something he could take with him.

My sister is 18, in college, pretty into appearances, and very uhm spunky i guess?

My baby sis is 16, very unique, and musically gifted with the acoustic guitar.

Mom is 38, religious, not into makeup or jewelry, and likes antiques and collectibles.

Dads 40, all about mlb(yankees) & nfl(steelers), and his chevy truck.

I’m trying to make these facts connect, but i cant think of anything meaningful enough. help me please? i wanna spend at least 0 on each person.

Do you think this microscope would be OK to use?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINTAGE-STUDENT-MICROSCOPE-BOXED-1960-70s-100-600X-MAG-/120742978101?pt=UK_Collectables_Scientific_MJ&hash=item1c1cd7a235#ht_500wt_1076

I want a cheap but decent microscope to look at some prepared slides I have. Do you think this would work and be good enough to be able to see things well?
